Learn about combinatronics

by fermar84 » Sun Sep 07, 2014 5:09 pm
Hi everyone, I would like you to help about this topic, do you have some study material and a GMAT like problem set?
I already read the MGMAT about this topic but it is pretty short and I want to master this topic.

Thanks in advance,
Fernando

For starters, you can use BTG's tagging feature to examine all posts flagged as Counting questions: https://www.beatthegmat.com/forums/tags/ ... mbinations

I should also mention that the Fundamental Counting Theorem (FCP) can be used to solve the MAJORITY of counting questions on the GMAT. For more information about the FCP, watch our free video: https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gmat-counting?id=775

Hi Fernando,

Combinatorics questions can sometimes be tough (although sometimes they're actually quite easy), but as a category, it's not a huge contributor to your score. Before you go and invest too much time on this one subject, you should take a good look at how comfortable you are on the BIG Quant categories (Algebra, DS, Number Properties, etc.). Once you've mastered the major categories, then you can nitpick the smaller ones.
