So, given that people say that GRE is easier than GMAT it would be better to take GRE. what do you think about this? additionally GRE is shorter and cheaper

Yes, if HBS accepts both GMAT & GRE score and has no preference as such, it obviously means that application would not be evaluated based on which test an applicant has taken.

GRE is shorter, cheaper (and some say, easier) hence could be preferred choice to most of you. But note that it's still not accepted everywhere for MBA entrance.
In case I'd not get accepted at HBS through 2+2 program, I know that GMAT score remains valid for 5 years so I would (while in case I'm in a junior/senior year) apply to other MBA programs much later when I would gain some work-experience.

Unfortunately, I haven't started them yet because I was focusing on the GMAT too much.

Hi all, it is really nice to be here as I am one of the applicants for the 2+2 this year.

I have a classic question about GPA.

I had a medicre gmat score - 720 - and my overall GPA is only around 3.2.

But I had exceptional leadership roles and experience both in and outside of school in professional domain, i.e., non-finance/business track.

My school is a top 7 liberal arts college in the U.S., and our school had a GPA deflation policy, esp for my major department. Do you think the HBS Admission Commitee will take that into consideration? I do not want to ask them this question because I am sure I will receive a standardized answer like "GPA is one factor among many we consider in evaluating each candidate."

Your GMAT is not mediocre. I can see someone with a 680 calling his/her score mediocre, but not someone with a 720. This is not going to affect your acceptance or denial to 2+2.

Your GPA is a bit low, but I don't recommend asking about it or trying to explain how your department is so hard, etc. anywhere on the application. Perhaps suggest that your recommending professor says something like "xx student has a 3.2 GPA in our department. We have a strict policy of grade deflation, and xx student is easily among the top one or two students in this department."

Emphasize your professional experience, but this is a catch 22, as you don't want to come off as someone who would normally pursue a business track (2+2, by and large, is not for this student).

As in most cases, your essays are going to be key. Make sure that each hits on a different side of you. Overall, you want to have a diverse and versatile range of essays that is still somewhat cohesive and paints a very nice picture of you and your future ambitions.

Furthermore, emphasize why you HAVE to go to HBS to achieve your goals and aspirations.

Hi guys! are anybody filling the self-reported transcript form? do you know what it exactly means "Degree(s) completed"? Does it mean the name of the degree or the number of degrees? By the way, what if I have not completed my degree yet?

Another question guys: What is the "English Usage" in the "Testing Information" section of the online application? is it another test like the TOEFL? I am required to fill it and i don´t know what to write here...

i wrote "college degree in progress" on the self-reported transcript.
but i do not know the english usage column cause i dont have to fill it in.
however, to ensure an accurate understanding, i suggest you write to the admission aboard for more detailed information.

I had a doubt about the grade sheets we have to give along with our application. Do we also have to give the grades of the most recent semester ie the 3rd yr - 2nd semester.
I have not got my official grades for this semester yet.

Please note in the instructions for Self Reported Transcripts,It is clearly mentioned that for the Grades you have not recieved you can write" IN PROGRESS"

On the resume uploading page, page limit for the resume is 1 page. However, on the online instruction page, page limit for this document is 2 pages. Could someone clarify this for me please? Thank you.

in most cases, resume is limited to one-page only.
that is a general rule.

Yeah regardless of the limits, I would say keep your CV to 1 page. I think given our ages (mainly 19-21), it seems a bit presumptuous to think that we will have done enough to warrant 2 pages.

Update on my end- I just got steamrollered by the GMAT (680 V41 Q42). I just hope that the whole spiel about "assessing a candidate's intellectual capability via GPA, achievements etc" is true!

Nearly finished my essays, I'm quite keen to submit it soon so I can get on with my summer plans.
