Ah so i fall to the temptation of speculation.

I don't see HBS going for a 90 student batch in the first year itself, which would make the 200 figure way to unrealistic. Maybe 2-3 interviewers per slot with a final batch strength of 40-50. Thats the way I see it panning out.

If indeed they have called just 44 of us, then I think they should really select all of us, unless they detect a clear discrepancy between the app and the person :) but I guess thats just to wishful. Anyway i think someone brave enough to give them a ring, might be able to give us a clearer picture. Hoping to hear back on this thread about some actual numbers which would put all this speculation to rest.

I can still click through to see the interview slots and see which ones are full, etc. - I just thought it odd that the random slot I picked would be full within 30 seconds of the e-mail being sent - I just don't think that 5 or even more than 2 people would have had the time or the mental synchronicity (if that's even a word) to sign up for the exact same random spot within 30 seconds when within 30 seconds I think there were already like 3-4 blacked out slots over the course of the week... again just pure speculation... but we shall see! It could all be either way!

Oh, yeah I can click through the interview slots too. I was under the wrong tab in the program.

All I know is, before the server shutdown, during the first interview sign-up process, the first day (Monday) was almost completely filled up within 2 minutes after the email was sent out. I guess that is the most popular day (I am going on Monday, you [The Favorite 125] are going Monday, and everyone I'm asking says they are going Monday).

I'm not arguing for either way. Obviously it would be better if only 44 of us were given interviews. But Harvard usually accepts about 15%, and interviews about 30%. So yeah, 150-200 interviews would make sense.

Someone said they know of 2 people going on the exact same day and time. Why don't you write that timeslot on this blog, and if anyone else is going then, we will know that it is at least 3 per slot, or 4, etc.

Hi everyone...congratulation to everyone for making it .... I am a pre med student, applying to medical school this year, but this program is so amazing. I am a molecular bio major/biomedical engineering minor and have a 3.86 from Cornell, but i bombed my GMAT with a 630 (in my defense, I was studing for MCAT and doing full time research :P)... I have a lot of volunteering experiences and stuff, but interviewing for a business school is going to be so different. I am kinda excited :). I am interviewing on wednesday..anyone else going that day?

I'm interviewing at 9:00 AM Monday.

In terms of the time people spent selecting a spot, I would speculate that many people took little time. I had it selected within about 7 seconds using a Blackberry to notify of the e-mail.

Overall everyone will have equal opportunity regardless of their interview slot time. This is a fantastic and diverse group and I want to wish each of you the very best and hope to meet some of you!

I didn't even apply this year (going to next year when I finish junior year), but I am sure an excited for you guys. Good luck to all that received an interview invitation. Hopefully, I'll be in the same boat next year but with better information and not have the speculation of a charter class.

Good Luck All!
