700 GMAT
I'm probably strongest in leadership/work experience

So- after just rescheduling my interview- it looks like they only have one interview per time slot and only had 44 time slots if I counted correctly- so it looks like they only extended 44 interview invitations max if I counted correctly and if there is indeed only one interview per time slot!

Has anyone asked HBS how many interviews were given out? If 200 interviews were given out and half of those get in, that's 100...too many for the program. While money's not really an issue for HBS, I'm still reluctant to think that HBS wants to pay travel for candidates who they're not terribly interested in learning more about. My guess is that around 150 received interview offers and that 50-90 will be offered admission depending upon the quality of the overall pool. Again, just a guess.

I signed up for Friday at 10 and now that time is unavailable. What makes you think there are 5 per slot? I was guessing about the exact same numbers as you legend.

I agree with freyfrey- If there were still 5 slots per time slot then why would the times black out with one person's click? Perhaps that's part if the reason they started over again- because they realized they were suddenly getting multiple people per time slot and that wasn't their goal?

5 interviews per timeslot? Where did you get that info from.
I recieved the mail infront of my eyes and took about 10 min tops selecting a slot and already like 4 slots were unavailable. I don't think that 20 people could have booked dates that fast. Its possible though - but I think there has been way to much speculation on the thread so i wouldn't go into it further. I request someone in the states to call and find out how many they have called for interviews.

Why do you think there are still 5 spots per time slot? Obviously it's comforting to think that there aren't 5 spots per time slot- but it's also somewhat logical to an extent. If they only received ~600 applications as was published somewhere that someone on this board mentioned - then why would they have 44x5 slots available for over 200 interviews? That doesn't make sense. However 44 of ~600 is 7.3% - a little on the low side but much more in keeping with the number that Harvard typically interviews, as opposed to 1/3 of applications which is what 200 interviews would be. Also- for a program that is supposed to build to 90 slots, it's conceivable that based on the pool, they've decided to keep this class low- to something like 20-30 students? You may be right - but I could rationalize this theory as well.

Can others also please post their profiles?

I'm not necessarily buying that there are 4 or 5 spots for each time (maybe 2 or 3) or that even if there were 4 or 5 spots available for each time that HBS plans to interview 200 folks. They almost definitely have more interview times than interviewees. Like I said, my guess is somewhere around 150.

I just know that there is more than one spot available per time period from communicating with other people who have applied and state that they are scheduled for the exact same date/time as each other.

Also...the 600+ number is apparently straight from HBS in its rejection letter to applicants not receiving interviews.

What is everyone doing to prepare?

First, I'm sure I'm not the only one who literally (no exagerration) signed up and confirmed within 30 seconds of receiving the email. 10 minutes is more than enough time for 20 people to sign up.

Also, the first scheduling website, which individually listed all interview slots, showed 5 interviews per timeslot. Of course, it is possible that they didn't plan on filling every slot of every day. Oh, and about 1 minute after the invitations were sent out yesterday, the first few days and the last day were completely filled, even with 5 slots per day.

I believe Harvard does normally extend interview invitations to about 1/3 of applicants, but I could be wrong.

Could you please tell me how you know when a timeslot is blacked out? As soon as I signed up, I can't click to see availabiltiy on any days at all.

Again, this is all just educated speculation.
