Hello everyone.

I'm Freddy.

Born and raised in London, UK. Now living in the mountains of Japan as an English teacher.

Having not used my brain in two years, I have decided to take the GMAT.

This morning I took my first practice test, with no studying involved to get a hang of the questions and time limits. I scored a very poor 380 having guessed 80%! Here's to a long road of studying!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. My name is Shalini, originally from Vizag, India. I'm now in Chicago, IL working for one of the Big Four Audit firms as a consultant.

A bit of a background with the GMAT exam:
I've given my GMAT twice already, the first time was in 2010 (score was 640, Q49, v28) and the second time in 2012 (score 610, Q45, v26). I've started the 60 study guide and scheduled my next GMAT date for 13th Sept 2014.

My aim is to get into Kellog Northwestern or Chicago Booth business schools in chicago. Any advise/pointers to increase my score and in particular my verbal score would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Shalini

Hello Everyone,

This is Kunal from Pune (India). Have 14 years of work experience. Working in a mundane IT company, I am planning to do my executive MBA. Have lot of interest in Finance too. Schools I am aiming for are IIM Ahmedabad, INSEAD or London Business School. MBA in Finance or Executive MBA. I am yet to start my preparation and evaluating courses and study material while working full time. Have never taken GMAT or any other competitive exam before. Aiming for 720 to 740 and I know it will take lot of practice for non-English speaking candidates.

Hello Everyone,
My name is Sindhuja, I live in Noida, India. Have a total of 3 years of experience in IT industry as a Software Engineer.
I have just started my preparation for GMAT with 60 day study guide and given my first practice test last week. My score was 640(Q47,V31). Although, my aim is to reach in 750+ group. I know I have to put a lot of effort to reach there, but I am all thrilled for the journey.

Wish me luck guys!!!

640 is a FANTASTIC baseline score, so I'm confident that you'll achieve your 750+ target score.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Hello Everyone!

I'm Nancy and I am writing from Los Angeles. I graduated from university with an Eng. Lit degree 3 years ago. I hope to apply for a Masters in Healthcare Management/Administration. I would love to join the 700 club (who doesn't?) but my main obstacles are to work on my focus, discipline, and confidence (I'm a slave to procrastination). I have a loooooooong way to go to improve both my scores, but my verbal is definitely much stronger.

I am restarting my 60 day study guide again and I'm really excited to power through all the way this time! I hope to be able to lean on and learn from everyone here. (:
