Hey all,

I started the preparation with the GMAT Prep tests - 700 on my first try, 720 on second, 730 third (minor overlap).

Since then I spent more than two months studying hard, taking 5 MGMAT tests along the way with scores of 700, 650 - (really bad day but took the test anyways), 720, 710, 700, 700. I actually started writing the AWA essays in the last two prep tests to simulate the real GMAT stamina requirements... My real test is on the 3rd of December and I am starting to feel really nervous. I am aiming for anything 700+. When I reviewed one of my GMAT Prep tests today I noticed the quant questions to be much simpler than the MGMAT ones - or at least less wordy. Am planning to re-take the GMAT Prep in the coming week and the last MGMAT as well (provided I have the time).

Is it still true that the MGMAT tests seem harder but also overstate the score (at least that was said in the beginning of this thread)?

I'd appreciate anyone sharing his/her thoughts about the current real GMAT score predicting ability of GMAT Prep vs MGMAT.

Thanks! :)

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some good full length CAT GMAT tests online, paid or free doesnt matter, as long as they're good. For me, good means something similar to MGMAT and GMATPrep, so would love to solve something similar to these.

I've already exhausted
Kaplan(6 tests),
MGMAT(6 tests),
GMATPrep(2 tests),
PowerPrep(2 tests)

I still have another 12 days to go for my GMAT.. Can anyone please suggest any other good CAT GMAT practice tests, free or otherwise?

Eagerly awaiting response :)

P.S.: Please dont comment saying, "you're so stupid to exhaust all tests 12 days before exam", coz I already know its quite dumb to do so :P

This topic should be re-posted. It is too far outdated. The good conversation early on about how each test score relates to the actual GMAT, is 3+ years old. I think this is a pretty important topic, so it should be updated more.

Thanks

This doesn't mean that the test is that accurate for everyone, of course, but overall, the algorithm output is fairly close to that of the official test.

Yesterday I had my first Manhattan Practice test(the free one).
And The first 4 or 5 questions were CR and and in the middle of the exam there were 2 passages in a row , and at end of the exam again 2 passages in a row, I wanted to ask that, how is it in real gmat?Because I think everything should be fairly distributed among the test. and different arrangements of the tests can yield to very different results for one person. I took GMAT Prep#1 one and the questions were appearing in an approximately normal distributed pattern. Like I expected to receive a passage after every 10 questions(roughly).

Can anyone suggest more comparable CATs. I'm done with GMATPrep 1 and 6 MGMAT CAT and still have 2 weeks to go? I didn't enjoy Kaplan much as it does seem to bring my score and as a result my morale down a lot so I want to avoid Kaplan for now!

Hi

Can you please sugges me whether these items from mba.com is worth buying or not. Since, the publishers of GMAT are authors of this book, is it going to be really helpful.

Kindly suggest.

I thought the Manhattan GMAT tests were great. I only took two, but they were pretty good. I liked that they were a little harder than the real GMAT. It made me pleasantly surprised come test day when the questions weren't quite as tough.
