Good Experience, but I do feel your GMAT score is 30 points low.
But I suggest you to go for it....

Good essay & recommendations can fill the gap

Best of Luck

hi

even I am planning to apply to RSM for spring intake.
My profile is as below
GMAT-700
Work-ex-2 yrs 10 months
Extracurricular--not so great
But I have heard that RSM generally doesn't accept candidates with such low yrs of work-ex as mine.
Any idea on this?
Thanks!
Prachi

I know a guy who got into RSM with a little less than 4 years of work-ex.
Why don't you directly talk to the adcoms?

@Prachi : you have a got base ( GMAT 700). Now you have to only build the castle around . All the best

This year, I got rejected by RSM with a 680. I always thought I'd try to offset the low score with exceptional essays.

Suffice to say, my essays were prepared with painstaking effort. During the course of my interview, I let it slip about the effort I had put in. Adcom actually mentioned in my interview that my essays were extremely well written. That acknowledgement was kind of weird I know!

So, other than the essays, there are 3 places I might have faltered - interview / application strength / GMAT Score. I felt I gave a pretty good interview, my application is pretty strong, given my Indian IT Male profile though. Based on the other admits, I felt my GMAT was the only sub-par aspect of my application.
Please make your inferences. However, I wish to say this is purely my opinion. Not to be taken as a standard. :)
