Have been involved in college fest activities. Have been part of the group which started the technical fest in my college.
Questions that I have:
1) The GMAT score I should target for?
2) I have a medium size family business(5-6 years old) run by my dad, I have very less direct involvement in that till now. Though I have an idea about how the process work. How I can I represent this to fetch an advantage?what kind of involvement in this will give my profile more weightage?
3) I have tried to be as elaborative about my achievements as I can above, what points(If any) should I delete from the above?
My short term goal is to gain exposure about the internal workings of a company from a middle/senior leadership role, so that I can gain experience and expertise in running a business and eventually start up a business venture(long term goal).
It would be great if you can kindly evaluate my profile and provide you feedbacks.
Your profile has a balanced mix of good job responsibilities & achievements and extra curriculars. International experience ( especially Latin America) will help and so will the mentor role that you have played.
But still look at GMAT score in excess of 700. Since you have 4 months before ISB R1 deadline, devote good 2-3 months to GMAT and then give it a shot.
Unless you have good funadamental knowledge of your family business and have been actively involved in it dont mention it. Else you might end up getting pulled into a related conversation in the interview which can go the wrong way.
Hope this helps.
