I have cleared all levels of CAIA and have got a chartered of the CAIA Association, USA. It is one of the best ad probably the only chartered dealing with the real estate.

BTW, how much is your work experience? If you can showcase leadership qualities, achievements in or outside work place & ability to work with others in application essays and exhibit maturity, professionalism & contribution to the class during the final interviews then you will stand a chance in b-school(s). Graduation in computer engineering from NIT Jaipur. CGPA-8.27
Working at a management consultancy and will complete 2 years in September this year.
I have worked on client projects in pharma industry mainly on sales planning for clients. I have developed expertise in our company's propriety software and have become more of a problem solver for our team ; I mainly work close to the business side of things to understand the client's business and work on developing and optimizing the solutions we propose;
Besides being an expert in a particular software I continually try to expand my skills by learning new technologies and softwares on ETL.
I have also played the role of mentor to anyone new on the team and also leaded and guided a group of 3 for design of a project;

Extra curricular: badminton and athletics player of college; played at national level inter college games;
Organized many cultural events and sports event; was part of the sports event news letter team and marketing team;
Participated in dance competitions.

I have outlined all the relevant things in my profile. What am doubtful of is the lesser years of work ex.. please help me decide whether to wait another year before applying to ISB;Insead; nanyang and nus..

KUDOS on your GMAT scores!!
You have good CGPA and GMAT. ECs look fine. However, your work experience for INSEAD is on lower side. ISB and NUS should be within your reach. You must write about your leadership style and achievements in application essays and demonstrate professionalism, ability to work with others & maturity during the final interviews. Having said that, you should stay focused on post-MBA goals and give reasons that why MBA at this juncture and how it will help you to achieve your goals. Hi Sonam,

You must target 700+ GMAT to strengthen your candidature. BTW, what are your post-MBA goals? Why you want to earn MBA at this juncture? Why ISB? How an MBA from ISB will help to achieve your dreams? These are few important questions asked by the business school adcoms. You must stay focused on these pointers and then write application essays.

hi.. i saw several profiles being evaluated here and just wanted a take on mine as well. I'm a 2008 engineering passout with 5 yrs of work ex as on july '13. My acad records are as follows:
Xth (CBSE) - 82
XIIth (CBSE) - 82
B.E. (Pune University) 65% aggregate (pl note pune uni is known for its tough marks and the disti stands at 66 so 65 is considered an above avg score)
GMAT - 710 (taken in Jun '13)
I have been working in Infrastructure IT Services (SAN) for the past 5 yrs and have 3 months of international exposure. I'm currently in my 3rd job. Apart from this i dont have many extra-curricular activities to show on record apart from the fact that i'm an avid baker and I pursue this hobby of mine with great vigour.
I'm planning to apply in R1. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks!

Hi,

You have a typical IT profile ( 5 yrs, 710 and some international exposure). Now applicants with similar profile do get shotrlisted but everyone depends on how you use your achievements, international exposure and other aspects in your essays and how strong your recos are.

Dont focus on the tech aspects of the profile but instead highlight problem solving, team work and other initiatives.

Given that nothing really stands out ( atleast from what you have mentioned) you might find it difficult to get an interview call. Would recommend taking help from some ISB alum or some professional help.

You have a typical IT profile. A lot will depend on the GMAT score. Try to get atleast a 720 or so on GMAT. You can contact us again ( details in signature) once your are done with GMAT.
