Do the OG again. Read the explanations thoroughly. Believe me, its the best book and you just cannot do enough of it.

Use the MGMAT SC guide too if you feel SC is your weak area.

I have about the same problem as Karan. I just finished my first test and scored 570 (Q43; V25)

I definitely have to work hard on the verbal part. So, what is the OG? And how realistic is it to improve significantly in this particular area?

My SC is still better
But i am weak at RCs.
can u suggest sm good book apart from OG
I think i need to do more practice in this area

I am a Software Professional with 10 years of Experience and not a native English speaker,

took the KAPLAN Diagnostic Test today without any preparation , after 10 years out of college.

scored 510

Quant 34%

Verbal 40% (CR 50% , RC 60% SC 15%, Short Passage 67%)

I have OG 12th edition, Kaplan Course Book, Princeton Review 2005

I am planning to take GMAT in Feb, Goal is 650 and looking for part-time/weekend MBA in and around NYC and DC

If you're looking for practice material for RC, I'd suggest that you may wanna get RC99. It's probably the best book out there for practicing GMAT type passages. However, make sure that you don't do many passages from the book in a day as it is not gonna be beneficial then. Just keep doing a few passages on a daily passages . Also don't jump the difficulty level of the passages if you really want to see improvement. Start with the passages from the low difficulty category and then you can move on to medium and high difficulty level pasages. If you prepare systematically, I think you should be able to nail RCs.
