Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals in her home, they featured the preparation of great quantities of ceremonial food, the wearing of many layers of colorful clothing adorned with silver, and the recounting of traditional tribal jokes and stories.
(A) Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals in her home, they featured
(B) Festivals were held in Aho, a Kiowa matriarch’s home, which featured
(C) Aho, who was a Kiowa matriarch in her home, held festivals featuring
(D) In her home, Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals that featured
(E) Aho, a Kiowa matriarch, held festivals in her home that featured

(B) Aho, a Kiowa matriarch’s home, - Aho is not the name of home. In-Correct.
(C) Aho, who was a Kiowa matriarch in her home, - Aho was Kowa matriarch only in her home. In-Correct.
(E) home that featured - looks like, features were that of home and not of festivals. In-Correct.

I am little confused betwen A and D. I will go for A because, I feel, in D 'In her home, Aho,' home is qualifying Aho and not the festival.

IMO A.

I am going with D on this.

I believe that in Option D, "Aho" correctly modifies "In her home" and that the word "a Kiowa matriarch" correctly modifies "Aho"

Also note that it is the "Festivals" that featured the preparation of great quantities of ......

Option D correctly uses this sentence, while option E does not.

Use of "they" in A kinda makes the sentence less preferable when compared with Option D.

Just my thoughts.
