(x-y)/(x+y)>1

is x-y>x+y?

stmt1,

x>0

No info abt x

Insuff

stmt2,

y>0

No info abt y

Insuff

Combining,

x=2,y=1,x-y<x+y

x=1,y=2,x-y<x+y

f x not equal to -y, Is (x-y)/(x+y) >1

a) x>0

b) y > 0

Are you sure above statement (a and b) are correct?
If yes then Ans will be D
On combining both statement
x > 0 and y > 0
==> |x - y| < x + y Always valid because both are +ve
Hence (x -y) /(x + y) < 1

@selango
x=-1,y=-3,x-y>x+y
you can not take this value as both are > 0
