Are you sure D is correct becoz I thought "Manolo Blahniks" refers to shoes which can be counted. So amount is not correct

D is the answer printed in the book but it well may just a misprint.

and I thought Monalo Blahniks were paintings. :o

imo E

C is also incorrect as it considers Monalo Blahniks as singular by using 'is'. The second sentence uses 'their' (plural) to refer back to Monalo Blahniks.

I think one of the problem with 'C" is the use of verb "is" ?
