Hello experts
scored 620 today on the free mgmat test.

material covered since a month:
1>og 10(verbal)
2>og 12 full
3>princeton review
4>mgmat math (FDP)
5>Nova bible(geometry/probablty p&c etc)

In pipeline:
1>og green q supplement
2>kaplan 800
3>PS CR bible

5>dumps of tough questions

Any help and suggestions are must appreciated

looks like you are doing much concept-wise work, little practice. Practice is 60% of the GMAT success...

Thanks for the reply night reader. u are right ,i have been doing a lot of research and theory based study in the past month as I was away from books for the past 3 yrs, but after giving the mgmat free test today i realized i should go more for real time "practice".
I have 4 princeton review tests but they look less useful to me ?

I got 620 (42/33) on the MGMAT free test today,
I ve heard this is tougher than the real thing however i am not banking that my current level is more than 620 on the real thing.

would you suggest me to purchase the MGMAT 6 test series, exam date is 20th jan 2011. (I've kept Gmat prep for last nd powerprep is more of og OG 10 than anything it seems ?)

My 2 cents on MGMAT tests. Although the Quant section on these tests is difficult than the one you'll see on the GMAT ; however, the learning from the questions will be immense.

thanks for the post rishi, i will definitely take up mgmat series starting this week. reason being i m lagging on d Q section. i plan to space it out in a month as i've taken 20th jan's date. (plan to take gmat-prep in between)

u must hv already read about the material which i have been using since a month.
Wat i do intend to cover in the next month is only MGMAT(math-all 5 books' exercises and sc) nd some sets of tough questions.

I read your success story and was impressed as i have the same IT backgroud, however i now look after a medium scale business along wit daddy so cant take more than 2 months off or i'll be fired Sad. As it is he is against this whole GMAT idea altogether.

thats y the haste in taking the date. any further suggestions are most welcome. i hope to cross 650 in MGMAT-1 on 18th dec and put another stone in the construction on my 700 score.

Some thoughts, not necessarily in order of priority:

1. You are doing too much too soon. It is extremely tough to finish OG and all the other books you mentioned in a month if you study 2-hours per day and 4-hours on weekends. I hope you are internalizing the problems enough.

2. MGMAT is not an indicator of your success on the actual test. Use GMATPrep instead.

3. Stick as much as possible to only original GMAC stuff - like the one published in OG.

4. If you buy a MGMAT book (@ $30) you get the test-series for free.
