Hi Stacy,

I am a 24 year male lawyer from India.

I have completed my 5 year law degree from one of the top 10 law schools in India. Further, I attended 2 months of summer school at the University of New Hampshire. I specialize in trade mark and copyright law.

I have worked for a year with a start up Intellectual Property Law Firm for a year and handled major luxury goods trade mark portfolios like for Montblanc and Cartier. Eventually, I got emplyed by the Indian subsidiary of a top 5 UK law Firm and have been working there since a year. I have handled major international trade mark portfolios while at this firm.

In relation to extra curricular i have some social work to show.

I have a gmat score of 710.

I wish to apply to booth, tuck, fuqua, daarden, etc.

Can you tell me what chances i have?

Oh and my main aim behind going for MBA is to branch out into brand management since i have been working with the legal side of brands for over two years, I now want to branch out to the management part. I believe i would add that extra something to brand management beuing well acquainted with the legal aspect of brands.

Thank you for your help.

Hi lawyerGMAT,

The biggest challenge you will face is having to address on your application why you want to pursue business school, particularly having already attended law school.

Additionally, business schools are looking to cultivate future leaders, so it will be important to highlight your leadership experience and responsibilities in your application.

Here is some school specific advice for the programs you are considering:

Booth: https://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... ago-booth/
Tuck: https://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... outh-tuck/
Fuqua: https://www.stacyblackman.com/business-s ... uke-fuqua/
