is y < (x + z)/2?

(1) y-x<z-y
(2) z-y > (z-x)/2

How do i solve this problem??!

Also I attached some screenshots of other GMAT prep questions I'm having trouble with.

y -x < z - y

Adding y to both sides

2y - x < z
=> 2y < z + x
=> y < z+x /2 => Sufficient

(2)

z - y > (z -x )/ 2

=> 2z - 2y > z -x
Adding 2y to both sides
=> z + x > 2y
=> z + x /2 > y => Sufficient

Answer should be (D). Can you pls confirm the OA?

take x=0,y=-1,z=0
-1<0

-1<0+0/2 ..TRUE

take y=-1, x=-2, z= 0
-1<2/2
-1<1

-1<-2/2 -> -1<-1..FALSE
