xy = 1200

If x and y are integers such that xy = 1200, then what is the value of x+y?

(1) x/y is an odd integer
(2) x/y is an integer that is less than 15

I would say E)

since x and y can be both positive or both negative and this changes the value of x+y

P.S: I may be off but dint go in to the details since there is a possibility that I stated above could exist even after we figure out the numbers based on stmt I and II by themselves or together .



+20 or -20 for taking an educated guess :-)

Take 60,20

It can be -60 and -20

x+y = 80 or -80

INSUFF
