If x = 8² = 64, x is an even integer.
If x = 1² = 1, x is an odd integer.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.

If x = 4^3 = 64, x is an even integer.
If x = 1^3 = 1, x is an odd integer.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.

Combining (1) & (2), we have two values of x, either 1 or 64; NOT sufficient.

The correct answer is E.

Can you help with my thinking for this question. Can the answer not be x=64, because 8^2 =64, and 4^3=64, using both statements together? Thank You
