I am considering applying to the US for MBA. Most schools require minimum 2 years of post graduation work experience. However, while I was still completing my degree I found a full time job in my field, as a result of which, I turned into a part time student. I got my degree a few months ago. Would my work experience be counted towards full-time post grad work experience or does that mean I would have to wait for another year to apply.

Hi,

It is not mandatory for all US B-Schools to have 2 years work ex before applying. Most of the B-Schools encourage fresh graduates to apply. Please share more details about your profile so that I can guide you the best options available.

Okay, although it's not MANDATORY, unless you have at least two years you won't get in to most good schools. Plus, people who get in with 2 years experience tend to be on fast tracks and go through the MBA as part of their work - often people from finance or consulting, who have already succeeded. But your average Hoe will most likely have 3-8 years of experience when applying.
