Word problem with VIC

Mike will jog form home at x miles per hour and then walk back home by the same route at y miles per hour. How many miles from home can Mike jog so that he spends a total of t hours jogging and walking?

a) xt/y
b) x+t/xy
c) xyt/x+y
d) x+y+t /xy
e) y+t/x - t/y

I tried to do it using numbers but could not get the correct answer.

Is the OA C?

Since the number of miles that Mike is going to jog for and walk for are the same, let d equal the distance. So,
d/y+d/x=t
solve for d..

xd+dy/yx=t

tyx=xd+dy
tyx=d(x+y)
tyx/x+y=d
