Hi Guys,

Could you explain please?

team x and team y have a tug of war
from their starting positions tean x pulls team y forward 3 meters, and are then pulled forward themselves 5 meters.
team y then pulls team x forward 2 meters.
If the first team to be pulled forward 10 meters loses, how many more meters must team y pull team x forward to win?

This is what my understanding,
first team x pulls team y forward 3 meters-->team x is 3 meter back from middle line
then team x pulled forward themselves 5 meters-->team x is (5-3)or 2 meter forward from middle line
then team y then pulls team x forward 2 meters-->team x is (2+2)or 4 meter forward from middle line

so (10-4) or 6 more meters must team y pull team x forward to win.
