Word count for very Long passages....

What is the word count for the very Long passages? The OG says RC passages can be upto 350 words long. Is this true? Because I heard from people saying they got very very long passage.......350 words should be managable. Any comments ?

I think the longer the passages are, the easier the questions are to answer. They may take a bit more time but in my opinion, the chances of answering correctly are better. What do you say?

I agree with euro. It is those nasty short dense one paragraph passages that are a pain in the wrong place.

Agree with Euro and g00fy, the long the passage, the simpler it is. However, I suggest you go through some LSAT Passages if you want to get a good view of the length and complexity of the questions together. That can prepare you with handling long passages in the actual GMAT.

Hey guys...I would agree that on test day no passage seemed overly long. If you take "nileshdalvi's" advice and try some LSAT passages keep a couple of things in mind.

First, LSAT passages are longer...I would say up to 500 words long.

Second, these passage do have some different types of questions that might not be specifically on the GMAT. So it is good to really have an idea of what is on the GMAT specifically so you know what to pay the most attention to.

This is a really good way to sort of "over train" if you have done some LSAT passages that are longer (and tougher) you should be ready for anything.
