Wood-burning fireplaces

by selango » Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:11 am
Wood-burning fireplaces may elicit warm memories of a simpler era, but chimney sweeps point out that wood-burning fireplaces take three times as long as cleaning gas fireplaces.

A. wood-burning fireplaces take three times as long as cleaning gas fireplaces

B. wood-burning fireplaces take three times as long to clean as gas fireplaces do

C. cleaning wood-burning fireplaces takes three times as long as gas fireplaces do

D. wood-burning fireplaces take three times as long as it does for gas fireplaces

E. to clean gas fireplaces takes three times as long as for gas fireplaces

OA later after discussions.

IMO B

confused between B and C but C got faulty parallelism. Cleaning of A is compared with B not cleaning of B.
