I found that lots of ranking use the average gmat score of the students as a important factor, and some university foucs on gmat score not just because it reflect the students' ability, but also because it can raise their ranking.

But, how about the gpa? Will the average GPA of students affect the ranking?

Hi--

Yes, often the average GPA will have an impact on the ranking.

Here's the thing about rankings, though. Every single one of them uses a different methodology and ends up with different results. It's actually pretty scary when you read the descriptions of what they're measuring carefully: I often find myself saying, "Huh? What does that have to do with whether a business school is any good?"

I CERTAINLY have that reaction when something like faculty research gets some huge weighting: that really has very little do with the average MBA student's experience.

Remember (as I post in the Kaplan forum regularly)...there are many many factors that go into choosing a b-school. Put rankings in a larger context.

Thank you for your reply,
I have tried to find the methodology of the ranking, but I just find some very general information.
May I ask for the ratio of Gmat,"UG GPA" and "PG GPA" that affect the ranking?
Thank you very much
