Hi

I am a lawyer and have finished my BBA LLB(Hons.) from a reputed Law school of India. My GPA is 7.5/10. Prior to that my academic scores in High School are upwards of 90%.

I have been working for 2 years with the legal team of SEBI (Securities Market Regulator of India). In the course of 2 years, I have handled litigations defending SEBI and in-house legal opinion based work.

My GMAT score is 700. V40/Q47/AWA-6/IR7

Please suggest the best schools and programs that would suit my profile especially with the work experience I hold. I would also appreciate if some light is thrown upon whether MBA or an MIM program would be suitable for me, alongwith the best schools that suit my profile.

Regards

Hi, first of all being a lawyer you'll have a definitive edge in the application process. The professional work-experience won't be a problem, but still the average work- experience in top schools is close to 5 years, so maybe you should target Fall 2017. If you insist on applying with this work-experience top 10 would be difficult, still you can look at something in Top 30. MBA is the right choice as you have limited but quality work-experience. I can't be specific about schools, that will depend upon the post-MBA industry.
Best wishes,

Hi Divya,

You have diverse and decent profile for top global B-schools, since you have 2+ years of experience it is better to opt for MBA rather than MIM programs. You have good GMAT so the next step for you is to brainstorm about your career goals, post MBA which sector you want to get into, these are basic essentials to shortlist B-schools.
