Hello Vincen.

Let's rewrite the expression as follows $$2^k\cdot5^{k-1}=2\cdot2^{k-1}\cdot5^{k-1}=2\cdot\left(2\cdot5\right)^{k-1}=2\cdot10^{k-1}.$$ This tell us that the correct answer is A.

I hope this can help you to clarify your doubt.

I'm available if you'd like a follow up.

Regards.

Let's simplify the given expression:

2^k * 5^(k-1) = 2^1 * 2^(k-1) * 5^(k-1) = 2 * (2*5)^(k-1) = 2 * 10^(k-1)

Answer: A
