Hi,

I have decided to go for regular M.B.A and looking for an institue where i can get the help to score well in GMAT. I found few institues which offers GMAT but unable to make a decision on where to go.

Also one more question, Manhattan Gmat and Manhattan Review are same or different institutes ?

1) Manhattan Review
2) Priceton Review
3) Achivers Point


Please advice.

Manhattan GMAT is indeed a different company than Manhattan Review.

Hi!

I took a course at Manhattan Review (its a tiny European company) and it is not worth the money. They just teach you tricks and treat topics very superficially.

I would recommend to stick to ManhattanGMAT.

both institutions are legit and enjoy good names. it looks like they both have a 212 phone number and are located in the big apple. so both are us based companies though they may have different non-us offices.

i got books from both firms and found manhattan review's questions are challenging and content is very well organized and clear. manhattan gmat recently improved their books as well. So if you want to study on your own, maybe it is not a bad idea to get those used books.

regarding courses, i have friends taking them at both places. one girl took an online course with manhattan gmat and like it. then she gave the books to her sister for extra study and the sister took a course with manhattan review and score 700 right after the course.

currently i plan to save some money to study on my own. i may join those free sessions online or in-person to gather some additional information.

btw, never heard about achieverpoint. is it an india-based company? the other two on your list, Manhattan Review and Princeton Review, are known names. btw, it looks like those two are not listed on this board as partners. so be sure to check whether or not the person who posts an answer is affiliated with a different firm.

Manhattan GMAT

Love Manhattan GMAT. The new books (3rd editions) come out October 25th, so if you are buying the books I would wait until 3rd editions are out.

The books can be pre-ordered right now. Manhattan GMAT gives you all the tools you need.

6 computer tests, 8 strategy guides (newer versions are much better), challenge question banks, extra questions etc.

I did their course in New York but didn't take the exam. They reactivated my access so that I could access recordings of classes again.

Very good company and very easy to deal with. Then again, my course cost $300, they have increased in price significantly since then as popularity has increased.
