Hello,
My first language is not English, and i want to know how to study English as second language, i mean where to start, Grammer first then writeing and speaking, and which books to use to study English from.
My current leve is below intermediate, and i'm preparing ti take IELTS exam, but before i start with there offical books to study the exam structure, i want to study the English itself as a language.
Help me with books names please.

Hello Azizakaria

If you can read English very well, I would suggest you to begin by reading some of the most famous novels of modern times which are known for their good English.
How to kill a Mockingbird, the Harry Potter series, etc
Also to increase your vocabulary, you should go through "Word Power Made easy"

The more you read, the more comfortable you will be with the language.

As far writing is concerned, yes grammar would be a good place to begin. But practice writing passages everyday. You could translate something from your native language. After a month of doing this, you would see that your writing has improved.

To improve listening, you could watch bbc news everyday for sometime. And for speaking, find a study partner, and practice speaking everyday.

After a month of this, you could begin preparing from the material of IELTS.

Studying English is not difficult. it is important to give the method to study.
You could watch the TV to improve some skills as listenning, reading, writing every day.
We have to learn day by day....

Listen to English every day. Listen to English radio.
Make an English/ESL friend. Makeup conversations.
Read English stories. Start with children's books.
Write down new words. Start a notebook for new words.
Keep an English diary. Start with one sentence.
Visit an English-speaking country. Learn English more quickly.
