We're asked for the value of X/3. When dealing with GMAT questions, it's important to make sure that you answer the question that is ASKED. Here, we're NOT asked for the value of X, we're asked for the value of X/3. This prompt is essentially just about doing some basic Algebra/Arithmetic. Based on the first sentence, we can create the following equation: 6(X) = X + 9 6X = X + 9 5X = 9 X = 9/5 Now, we have one more step to answer the question - divide by 3...
