Let's take each statement one by one.
1) Last year gross profit was $4,100.
Thus, R - E = 4100. Can't get the unique value of R. Insufficient.
2) Last year revenue was 50% greater than expenses.
=> R = 1.5E. Can't get the unique value of R. Insufficient.
(1) and (2) together
From R - E = 4100 and R = 1.5E, we can get the unique value of R. Sufficient.
No need to calculate the value of R since we have two distinct linear equations involving R.
The correct answer: C
Hope this helps!
