Hi to all,

This forum has been very helpful as I prepare to take the GMAT. I just have a few questions.

1. What should I expect on test day? The entire test is taken on a computer, correct? Do we receive our unofficial scores immediately after we finish the test?

2. They take fingerprints now? Why is this? Curious to know why they do this, do they do it to check criminal history or what?

Do you have a criminal record or what ;-) ??

Just relax.. make sure you reach the test center 30 minutes in advance, and carry your passport(verification document as per your country). They take the palm scan and photograph and tell you to wait... mind you this could feel like the longest wait you have ever had... but don't feel nervous... you will get breaks in between...so make sure you know where is the loo and where is your locker. You can even ask the instructors for ear plugs, so that you are not disturbed by typing/clicking sounds of other test takers...

The entire test is on a computer, you will have to choose 5 schools where you want to send the score...before you start the test....you also need to check 'yes' on the choice to get a printed copy of the unofficial score report . Once you are done with the test... you have to update the questionnaire...(the one you filled in at mba.com) accept your scores and thats it... you get scores on the screen.. Collect the paper copy of the score report. This evidence can be posted/faxed/emailed to your respective B-Schools... all the best for R2!!

Thanks for the info...

However, I do not have a passport. I only have a government issued Drivers License... will that work for photo identification?

I believe the photograph and palm-vein scan is to verify your identity each time you enter and exit the testing room. Make sure you factor the palm-vein scanning into your break time between sections.

Each time I exit the room, I must retake the palm-vein scan when I re-enter?
Please verify for sure... I am a bit anxious for the test and want to know everything there is to know!
