What should be my strategy now?

Hi Guys!!

I have been studying for GMAT for some time now. About a month back i gave GMAT prep tests. My score was 600 and 660.

Then i gave princeton review test with scores 540 &570 ( i found them very dicey ) However, i was very doubtful on my content.

Just right now i gave the free MGMAT and got a 700 (48 Quant and 37 verbal)
My timing has never been a problem for me as i have always had more than 15 min in both the sections.

My exam is on 16th nov..
Could you please suggest me a proper strategy (a course of action for the next 15 days)

Any advice is deeply appreciated! Thankss!! :)

Hi Vaibhav

You have been working hard I guess. Its a classic case of score fluctuation which might mislead and relax you. Score fluctuation is somewhat normal when your scores are in the 500s and low 600s because how well you do really depends on the questions that you are given. You are probably strong on some parts of paper and weak on other parts, and depending on what questions you get your score fluctuates accordingly. So I would suggest you to use this gift of speed to increase accuracy.

Another thing is that if you are practicing GMAT mocks again, try this method to stop the skewed score. If you see a question you recognize (and you know the answer as soon as you read it), wait there for 2mins before selecting the answer (if you know how to do the question confidently)... hence your not artificially inflating your score with additional time

(This is the really hard part)
If you see a question you recognize (and you know the answer as soon as you read it).... but its a hard question (a question you initially got wrong)

1) wait there 2mins ... then select the right answer (if your sure you know the correct methodology this time around, since you've studied the material and understand it)
2) wait there 2mins - then select the wrong answer (since you know that you'd likely try to solve this question under test conditions, but ultimately would get it wrong still)
3) recognize that the question is too hard for you (even if u know the answer immediately)... you waste little time and select a wrong answer wthin 25seconds

Think you got me wrong there. I have never faced a question that was similar, well at least till now. :)
Second i was kinda hoping of a strategy on how to go ahead as in what all should i do now

The one in which i scored 700 was entirely new. ( i didnt remember if any question was similar)

Kinda not thinking about score but a proper way of studying.
(i also have Kaplan and Knewton GMAT)
