What should be ideal score for gmat for colleges ranking 15+

Hi ,

I am 23 having 2.1 yrs of exp will be 3yrs by sep--08
A brief of my profile
A Software Engineer from Bangalore, India
Worked with perot systems india 1.1 year
Worked for Oracle for 1 year
Worked for an add agency (EURO RSCG )for 3 months during college
for a marketing project to raise funds for an NGO called parikrama

Also i am a volunteer for Wildlife conservation Organization since a year i help them raise funds for their business division
Currently on a break for a month to study for gmat
Will start working with another organization soon !!

I am looking at the following Colleges

CMU -- Tepper business school
University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

Emory in atlanta (Goizueta busineess school)
Indiana University, Bloomington (Kelley)
Washington university in St Louis
University of Illinois Urbana Champaign



Please give me a GMAT score range for these colleges the college shows an average score , should i be + or - 20 with the average to get in .

Hi sharath9063,

I think the mean is generally a good guideline for where you want to be, and you may find the sticky thread on GMAT and GPA helpful. Remember that your GMAT score isn't the only factor, and while a high GMAT can enhance your profile it's not a guarantee of admission.
