PowerPrep is the GMAT prep test put out by the official testing service in the past. It is essentially the same as the current GMATPrep, except that the two tests use slightly different algorithms. Either way, you'll get roughly the same scores on PowerPrep and GMATPrep.
I took both PowerPrep tests and GMATPrep1 this weekend and received 700, 680, and 700. Thus, I am convinced that PowerPrep is as good an indicator of preparedness as is GMATPrep.
PowerPrep uses many questions from OG10; my understanding is that GMATPrep does not use many OG10 questions.
You can download the two PowerPrep GMAT tests for free on several internet websites. Just do a google search.
