(1) k + 3 > 0
(2) k^4 <= 0

The OA is B.

Experts, can you help me here? How can I determine the value of k with the second statement?

We have to get the value of integer k.

Let's take each statement one by one.

(1) k + 3 > 0

=> k > -3; k can be -2, -1, 0, 1, ... there is no unique value. Insufficient.

(2) k^4 ≤ 0

The only eligible value for k is 0 as we see that 0^4 = 0 ≤ 0.

Plugging in the value -1 or +1 will not help.

Say k = ±1; we have k^4 = (±1)^4 = 1 ≥ 0. Invalid value.

The correct answer: B
