Help me find the value of n
n is a multiple of 7 and when divided by 2,3,4,5,6 remainder is 1. What is the value of n?
Thanks
I should point out that, in its current form, this could never be a true GMAT question.
First, there are always answer choices in GMAT questions. So, one could simply check each answer choice to see which one met the given conditions.
Second, the question should read "what is the
minimum value of n," since there are infinitely many values that satisfy the given conditions. For example, n could equal 301, 721, 1141, etc
Third, there should be some stipulation that n is positive, since the GMAT does not mix remainder concepts with negative integers.
Cheers,
Brent
