What is the value of e?

$$a+b=8$$
$$b+c+d=9$$
$$c+d+e=10$$

What is the value of e?

$$(1)\ c=3$$
$$(2)\ a=2$$

The OA is B.

Please, can any expert assist me with this DS question? I don't have it clear. Thanks.

We have
$$a+b=8 ---(1)$$
$$b+c+d=9 ---(2)$$
$$c+d+e=10 ---(3)$$

Let's do (1) - (2) + (3), and check the result...
