BTech CSE is a 4 year UG course that studies practical and theoretical knowledge of computer hardware and software. This course lays emphasis on the basics of computer programming and networking while also comprising a plethora of topics. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CUET For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants) Admission Criteria Merit in LPUNEST, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria. LPU offers extensive scholarships on the basis of LPUNEST (National Entrance and Scholarship Test). The Fee mentioned above is for candidates seeking admission in Phase -I as per LPUNEST Cut-OFF III. Approximately 50% of students are able to crack this scholarship test. The same scholarship is applicable to students scoring 80%-89.9 % in the Qualifying exam. The fee 1,20,000 Per Semester, For Details, refer University Website (lpu.in). The highest package reported at the Lovely Professional University placement drive 2022 was Rs 3 CPA, which was 1.5 times greater than the previous year. Rs 62.72 LPA was the highest domestic salary package offered to the students at the final placements of 2022. Overall, 8400 offers for jobs and internships were made. Cognizant with 1410+ students and Capgemini with 770+ students were the two companies that employed the most students. Palo Alto gave one of the B.Tech CSE/IT students a remuneration package for Rs 49.4 LPA. 383 students have been given packages ranging from Rs 10-64 LPA for the LPU placement 2022 drive.

LPU ranked 50th in Engineering stream , as per Ministry of education government of India , amongst private & government universities under NIRF.
LPU offers B.Tech.(Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) programme which has the duration of 4 years. This programme gives its graduates a competitive edge through robust curriculum and hands-on learning in niche technologies to develop competence which caters to the requirements of the industry. It primarily deals with the development and designing of computer software and hardware processes with strong focus on algorithms, programming languages, program design etc. Its an industry immersion which enable the students to keep pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. Studying these courses as a part of the curriculum would provide a WILD CARD entry to industry.
The eligibility of programme is - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*.
