Let x be the original number
112.5/100*x - 75//100*x = 30


x= 80

Check:

80 increased 12.5% = 90
80 decrease 25% is 60

90-60=30

Let the number be N then

1.125 N- 0.75N = 30

or N = 30/0.375 = 80
