What if I do my own recommendations?

Ok--I HAVE great recommendations. The problem is, I'm applying to several schools and I keep having to pester them to take time out of their busy schedules to fill out YET another evaluation form for me.

Do you think its ok for me to, with their consent, just do the evaluations myself if they send me the info? Or can companies like Embark track IP addresses?

Thanks

Dear Sakina:

I'm glad to hear you have strong recommendations--that is fabulous! However, I would highly discourage you from completing your own evaluation forms. If you are applying to so many programs it is becoming cumbersome for your recommenders, then you might consider asking some different folks to spread the work. Always keep in mind that you do not want to have recommenders doing too many forms as it increases the possibility they will put the wrong school name in the letter or get the forms confused and mail the wrong form to one of your schools.

Good luck,
Lisa
