Lovely Professional University is one of the World's largest Universities in terms of providing lodging facilities to its students. It has the capacity to accommodate approx 25,000 of its students on its campus. Talking in terms of the number of hostels available inside the campus, the university has a total of 9 hostels for boys, which can accommodate approx 18,500 male students and 6 hostels for girls, which can accommodate approx 6,500 female students. The entire University campus is spread over approx 600 acres of land. For commuting from hostels to the academic blocks facility, E-rickshaws and Helix Bikes are available at a nominal cost. Apart from this, students are also permitted to ply their private two-wheelers or four-wheelers, for which a sufficient parking area is available near every academic block. Types of Accommodation There are two types of accommodation available for the students, namely Apartment-type accommodation and Standard Hostel-type accommodation. Apartment-type accommodation has one to four-seater rooms available. All the apartment rooms are decked up with air conditioning facilities. Furniture including a wooden bed box, study table, chair and almirah are provided in the rooms. Apartments also have a lobby and pantry area. Washrooms are attached to the rooms with geysers fitted inside them. On the other hand, Standard hostel-type accommodation has two to six-seater rooms available. Hostel accommodation gives the option to choose between air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned accommodation to the students.
