There are tons of GMAT books out there and tons of books that are recommended on the forum but I'm a newbie so could someone let me know what types of books are needed. Please no ABBR. Spell out the name of the book/books.

Does getting the GMAC Verbal (Purple) and Quantitative (Green) (vice versa) Review books help along with the 11th edition (orange)? Or is it pretty much the same thing with more questions?

THANKS!

Those three official books are unique and each is worth getting.

The only other book I have used is Cracking the GMAT. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Great overview of the test and the tests themselves are really good.

Are the exams on CD Rom...if so, are they compatiable with MAC's?
