What are my chances at Haas EWMBA

by rkrishnamurthy » Thu Dec 24, 2009 11:43 pm
Hi
I'm applying for Haas evening/weekend mba program R2.
I have a 640 in GMAT (my 2nd attempt) Q45(74%)/V34(68) and AWA 6.0(90%). I got a 590 on my first attempt.
Indian. 34 years. 13+ years of experience in technology consulting, IT governance and Financials applications. Good career progression. I was a director, IT at a high tech company. Lost my job in September and 'm currently focussed on starting my own venture in food retailing business.
Completed my engineering from an above-average school in '96. Strong maths scores and top 10% in my class (at 75%).
Will appreciate any advice that you can provide.

I want to thank you for the amazing work that you are doing.
Thanks much
Raj

Hello, Raj,

Thank you for the positive feedback.

I'd have to say that the GMAT would be a bit low, even for the evening/weekend program. The strong quant transcript will mitigate that to some extent. With a truly stellar application it would be a reach with that GMAT - not likely, but still possible.

Best regards,
