I'm thrilled that our good friends at GMAC (the organization behind the GMAT) will be participating in the Beat The GMAT community!

If you have questions about customer service issues, GMAT exam policies, or GMAT exam structure, feel free post in this new forum called "Ask the Test Maker." The folks at GMAC will answer your questions under the username, OfficialGMAT.

Welcome GMAC! Smile

I would like to know about the IR section mark ratings in detail. Can "Official GMAT" explain this one?

Hello,

Integrated Reasoning scores will range from 1-8 in single-digit intervals, and will not alter the existing Quantitative, Verbal, Total, and Analytic Writing Assessment scores. Like the Analytical Writing Assessment, the Integrated Reasoning section will be scored separately.

I hope this answers your question, good luck in your studies!

Rebecca
