hi
i got my under gradute degree in textile engineering and then joined a reputed organization on a managerial position, got two promotions with in 1.5 years(up to date). At this time working as research and development manager and only one in my session who is working on this post. can discuss a lot about acomplishments in my career like increasing company profit by managing costs and by good team management skills.have a good community work(e.g make a group of people and help people during earth quake in pakistan in 2005).
but my gpa is as low as 2.68 due to some serious problems.my first semester gpa is only 1.67 and remaining semester's gpa ranges from 2.6 to 3.23 and also never fails in any course through out my degree.
can i get admission to top 5 us business schools with a gmat score of 700?

i m considering to take some courses(online) in virtual university like statistics and probability, calculus and analytical geometry, business maths and statistics, accounting. can this help me to cover low gpa? what is your opinion?

Dear yasir:

Admission to a top 5 mba program is difficult for any applicant, regardless of the profile, because it is highly competitive. You need to strive for the best GMAT score possible, put together a strong application, and address your weak academic performance directly. The coursework may help to offset your undergraduate peformance. I would also encourage you to consider schools outside of the top 5 as many of these programs are strong and will give you what you are looking for in terms of curriculum and career opportunities.

Good luck!
