There are limited resources out there that explicitly cover the GMAT Focus edition. I have used mainly books to study for standardized tests in the past but could find no updated references. This is where a friend, who had just been accepted into Wharton, came in.
He shared with me his experience with Target Test Prep and how it was extremely helpful given the difficult balance between family, work, and GMAT studying.
I decided to try it myself and found the same for myself. Though I work in a technical field, I had not dealt with this “style” of math in a while and found myself falling short of the mark. Target test prep enabled me to drastically improve my score in this section while also being a perfect tool for someone who is constantly being interrupted by work and life. Though my time was limited, I was able to double my quant score’s percentile from 33% to 66%. While this alone does not help my competitiveness at the M7 schools, this improvement allowed me to propel my composite score extremely high with my performance in the other two sections.
I also found the data and verbal sections in the target test prep to be extremely valuable in taking the last few steps towards excellence in the sections. I was especially able to dial in the score of the verbal section to perfection and nearly achieved the same in the data analytics.
Following TTP I was able to not only get a perfect score on the verbal section but achieved a 695 (98%) overall and have recommended the program to multiple coworkers who are interested in pursuing their MBA. Thanks!
