Let's take each statement one by one.

1) 2/3 of the boys and 1/3 of the girls who auditioned were accepted.

No information abt the no. of boys and that of girls. Insufficient.

2) 26 of the boys who auditioned were accepted.

No information abt the no. of girls who auditioned were accepted. Insufficient.

(1) and (2) together

From the information, we get 2/3 of the boys = 26 => No. of boys who auditioned = 39

=> No. of girls who auditioned = 90 – 39 = 51

=> No. of girls who auditioned were accepted = 51*1/3 = 17

Total no. of students who were accepted = 26 + 17 = 43

Correct answer: C

Hope this helps!
