Here's one approach.
First let's examine a few values:
Since f(x) = 1 for all x < 1, we know that
f(-1) = 1
f(0) = 1
Keep going by using the fact that f(x) = [f(x−2)][f(x−1)][
x]
f(1) = [f(-1)][f(0)][1] = [1][1][
1] = 1
f(2) = [f(0)][f(1)][2] = [1][1][
2] = 2
f(3) = [f(1)][f(2)][3] = [1][2][
3] = 6
f(4) = [f(2)][f(3)][4] = [2][6][
4] = 72
f(5) = [f(3)][f(4)][5] = [6][72][

etc.
