Are you asking whether or not the verbal score is somehow dependent upon the quant score? I'm pretty sure it isn't. If you're asking whether a 45+ is possible on the verbal side, I think so. Last time I took it I got a 44 (missed 5 questions) on verbal.

I have done the quantitative portion alone before and that works. You just need to guess at each quant question in order to get to the verbal section. Your verbal scaled score will be whatever it is and your quant score will be something low based on the guessing. Your overall score will be low, but your verbal score will be whatever you earned on the verbal.

Thanks for answer. This is exactly I was looking for. I am getting 24 questions correct on average in verbal portion of GMATprep and I need to pull this number up to 40. Mostly wrong questions are in RC. Personally I am very critical reader but on paper once I have to scroll just to read something my comprehension is affected badly.
