"Variance Test" for CR - Definition?

by Ryan Ziemba » Mon Aug 16, 2010 2:43 pm
I remember reading somewhere that applying the Variance Test is often a good way to address certain types of CR problems, but I have no idea what this means. Can anyone provide a definition for "Variance Test," and perhaps an example of it's application?

Thanks!

Where did you read that at? I've only read MGMAT for CR and didn't see 'Variance Test' there.
Being defeated is often only a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.

It's in the powerscore CR bible. Variance test is in Chapter 13 for Evaluate the Argument questions, where you supply polar opposite answers to see if both answers result in different conclusions.
